Early Childhood "Pequenos"

Rio Grande School offers a full-day program for children between the ages of three and four. Our "Pequenos" program enables us to focus on the developmental aspects, curiosities, and joys of our youngest children. Taught by one full-time lead teacher and one full-time associate teacher, our three- and four-year-olds form a close-knit group in the care of outstanding early childhood professionals. Learning is truly an adventure!

The Early Childhood "Pequenos" Program...

• runs from 9 a.m. to 2:50 p.m., with some parents choosing to send their children for fewer than five days;
• creates a positive first school experience that establishes a strong foundation for the years ahead;
• includes ample exploratory outdoor and active play time;
• transmits most learning through gross motor activities;
• understands that three- and young four-year olds need to engage in activities that are free-flowing and open-ended to spark their curiosity in learning.
