Rio Grande School values the unique natural environment that surrounds Santa Fe, embracing that environment to teach our students to care for the world around them.
Rio Grande School teaches students to be stewards of the natural environment by...
- Offering laboratory experiences in science and ecology on a regular basis;
- Setting an example with our own choices in sustainability practices, such as conservation-minded building design;
- Leading them on regular hikes and guided explorations in and around the mountains, streams, and forests surrounding Santa Fe;
- Organizing service learning experiences that focus on caring for the environment.
