My name is Walema Kwanza Ntele and I am originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Growing up, I loved school and playing soccer with my friends and siblings. I began working as a preschool teacher in 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa. There, I trained as a Montessori teacher and worked with students between the ages of 2-4 years old. I moved to Santa Fe in the summer of 2015 with my wife who is from Chicago, and also an educator. Since moving to Santa Fe, I have been working as a preschool teacher at Temple Beth Shalom Preschool. I recently graduated from New Mexico Highlands University where I studied elementary education, and during my student teaching experience I was able to work with children of all ages. I am looking forward to working with students and families at Rio Grande School as a Physical Education teacher where I can share my passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle with the community. I'm eager to build a high interest curriculum to get children excited about being playful and active!
