Nancy began her association with RGS in 2010 as a volunteer in the 4th grade classroom and officially joined the RGS staff in 2013 as the Kindergarten Associate Educator. She originally hails from the northeast where she received her BA in English from Hartwick College and her MA in Theatre from the University of Connecticut . After graduate school, she crossed the Mississippi and never looked back. She arrived in Santa Fe in 2006, having taken several lengthy detours in Los Angeles and Portland, OR. While she was completing the academic requirements for her teacher's license, she worked in the RGS Kindergarten classroom as a tutor and supported several multi-grade classrooms in Literacy and Math at Agua Fria Elementary School. In 2013, Nancy received her New Mexico teacher's license in the field of Special Education and is a member of ILA (International Literacy Association), IDA (International Dyslexia Association) and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education).  Nancy has an extensive music background and has sung with a variety of groups in genres ranging from classical to jazz. She also enjoys weaving and for several years was a volunteer weaver at Rancho de las Golondrinas. She is excited to be back in the classroom where she started at RGS.
