ASAP Winter 2026 Registration
ASAP registration closes on Sunday, January 11th at 5:00 p.m
Cost:
Classes cost $30 per class per student (plus any applicable materials and supplies fees as noted below)
Classes begin the week of January 12th through March 2nd with a makeup week March 9th-13th
Once registration is closed, you will receive an email with details about your child's course(s) logistics. Any school closures due to holidays or inclement will be made up at the discretion of the ASAP educator.
Times and Aftercare:
All ASAP classes run from 3:15-4:15 p.m (unless otherwise noted)
Students will be sent to the MAC upon dismissal from school for a snack before their scheduled ASAP class.
ASAP instructors will escort students to the front of the school, where students should be picked up by 4:20. Any students who are not picked up by 4:20 will be sent back to the gym for aftercare.
You will be charged an additional $18 daily flat fee for aftercare. Aftercare ends promptly at 5:00 p.m. Families will not be charged aftercare fees for time spent in aftercare before ASAP classes start.

Mondays 3:15-4:15 in the 3rd Grade Room
Crafternoon with Ms. Laurie (Open to Grades 3rd-6th) Class Size: 6 Students
Do you enjoy working with your hands? Or simply crafting? This is the class for you!
We will learn how to make pom-poms, tassels, and assemble a decorative garland, along with other crafty items. Let's have fun crafting!
Ms. Laurie can be found knitting, making pom-poms, slow stitching, coiling baskets, or doing embroidery. She has a BFA in Crafts with an emphasis in Fibers. She enjoys sharing her love for all things crafts with children.

Hawks Basketball (Continuation)
Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 in the 2nd Grade Room
Improv with Ms. Miranda (Open to Grades 4th-6th) Class Size: 6 Students
These improv classes will teach core improv skills to a group of young people who can then apply those skills in their daily lives. Improv teaches
skills such as listening, being present, acceptance, and readiness for anything.
Each class will focus on a foundational technique in improv.
These basic elements include:
● Saying Yes---radical agreement
● Saying And: Building on the choices of others while still making strong individual choices
● Emotional and Point of view work
● Psychological flexibility
● Group mind (teamwork and ensemble building)

Wednesdays 3:15-4:15 in the Visual Arts Portable
Yearbook Club with Ms. Melissa (Open to Grades 5th and 6th) Class Size: 5 Students
Are you interested in helping to create the RGS yearbook? Do you like photography and graphic design?
Then you will like the yearbook club.
We will focus on photography, content, editing, and graphic design.
Last Class: March 4th

Storytelling and Coding with Ms. Erin (Open to Grades 1st-6th) Class Size: 16 Students
Are you interested in using coding to create something new and unique?
We'll use resources like Scratch, Experience CS, and Micro: bits in order to make something new that tells a story or serves a function.
What stories and inventions will you create?

Astrology with Ms. Danielle (Open to Grades 4th-6th) Class Size: 16 Students
Learn your Big 3 (Sun/Moon/Rising) and explore zodiac signs + their traits!
Astrology shows how we're all made of the same stuff - just designed differently!
Celebrate your unique story and how it fits in with the bigger picture of life!

Rocketry 101 with Mr. Jim (Open to Grades K-6th) Class Size: 24 Students
Build model rockets that we will launch on the large play field during our final session.
Mr Petoskey coached middle school rocketry for 4 years and was a science educator for 12 years — mostly at the middle school level. He holds an M.Ed from the University of Minnesota and. BS from the University of Michigan.

RGS Roller Disco with Ms. Miranda (Open to Grades 1st-6th) Class Size: 16 Students

Join us every Friday in the MAC for roller skating fun! Some skating experience is preferred, but not required. Roller skates and inlines are welcome. Protective gear is required and can be provided (wrist guards, knee, and elbow pads). Students must provide their own helmet.
Rental skates are available but limited!
Ms. Miranda led the Roll Out Skate Camp at RGS this summer and has over 20 years of experience in skating and coaching.
