EXTENDED CARE
Rio Grande School offers extended care both in the morning, beginning at 7:30am and in the afternoon, beginning after the school day ends until 5:30. The morning extended care is offered to children in grades K-6. The afternoon extended care is offered to all students, however, it is organized into two groups. Pequenos and Grandes are cared for in the early childhood space, and K-6 graders are supervised in the MAC and on the adjacent field.

Both programs offer children a time to play actively outside as the weather permits, to relax, to participate in optional arts, crafts and cooking activities, eat a snack and do homework.
Cost for the afternoon extended care is billed to each family's account at a rate of $7.50 per hour.
