Program Description: Ever wonder how the brain processes input from all of our senses? This presentation will provide a brief review of all the sensory systems and how they provide the foundation for learning.

Biography: Jeanne Du Rivage, MA, OTR/SEP, is an Occupational Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience working with families and children. She has served as an adjunct faculty at the University Of New Mexico in the Occupational Therapy program and been involved in teaching/training professionals and paraprofessionals for many years. Jeanne is also a member of an international volunteer trauma team and has traveled to India, Sri Lanka as well as New Orleans to assist in post-disaster trauma training. Jeanne specializes in early childhood and developmental trauma, regulatory sensory processing disorders, and in promoting social emotional well-being in young children.
